FOUR SEASONS OF FAMILY ENJOYMENT SINCE 1947

Sights and activities abound in the area surrounding Long Point Lodge. Within the perimeters of the camp your time can be spent swimming on our sandy beach, canoeing and water-skiing. Hiking in the woods can provide hours of fun with activities such as rock hunting, and picking wild blueberries and raspberries.

Our hunting and fishing adventures are endless, from Walleye to Northern Pike and Lake Trout to Grouse, Black Bear and the mighty Moose as game, our northern Ontario wilderness is sure to please.

Other things to do!!

Additional activities around the camp include volleyball, horseshoes, badminton and a children’s playground.

Inside, there’s a recreation hall with a T.V., pool table, shuffleboard and ping pong.

Of course the main activities are fishing and hunting.

Our Area

Church services are available in Elk Lake as is shopping for groceries, beer and liquor in both Elk Lake and Gowganda which are 14 and 12 miles away respectively.

Our store carries a supply of groceries and a variety of souvenirs to capture memories of your trip. There’s even a 18 hole golf course less than 1 hour from camp.



Cottages

Long Point’s housekeeping cottages are located on the waterfront and come in a variety of sizes including the traditional A-Frame style. All units feature 3 piece bathrooms, comfortable living areas heated by oil & carpeted bedrooms. The kitchens are fully equipped including all appliances and cookware. Some things we do not provide which you may wish to bring include towels, electric kettles & T.V.

Winter

With access to heated cottages and the Ontario Federation of Ontario Snowmobile Trails, whether your out for a trail ride or ice fishing our back lakes, a warm meal and cozy cottage await your return. Come in out of the cold and warm up in our electric sauna after you have enjoyed a good hot home-cooked meal with lots of warm genuine northern Ontario hospitality!
